ISO400 Terms of Use

Draft for review, not legal advice. Fill in the parts in [square brackets] before publishing.

Last updated: [DATE]

These terms are an agreement between you and [FULL LEGAL NAME], a sole trader trading as ISO400 ("ISO400", "we", "us"), address [POSTAL ADDRESS], email hello@iso400.co.uk. They cover the ISO400 app, web app and website. By creating an account you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, which form part of these terms.

1. Who can use ISO400

2. What ISO400 is

ISO400 is a community map of photo locations, with example photos, profiles, communities, photowalks and challenges. Places, photos and walks are added by users. We do not check every place, and we do not promise that a place is accurate, accessible, legal to enter or safe.

3. Your content and your copyright

4. Rules for places and content

You must not add or upload:

The full rules are in our Community Guidelines.

5. Reporting and moderation

Anyone can report a place, photo, profile or entry using the Report button. Content that receives several reports is hidden automatically while we review it. We may remove content, limit features or suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and you can ask us to look again by emailing hello@iso400.co.uk. We may report illegal content to the police or other authorities.

6. Photowalks and meeting people

Prices include VAT where it applies. Features marked "coming soon" are not yet available and are not part of what you pay for until they launch. Paid plans are not yet on sale; this section applies once they are.

Only the founder of a community pays for Leader. Co-admins they appoint use Leader features under that subscription. Plan features (for example Plus features) apply only to the person who pays for them.

8. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

9. Your 14-day right to cancel (consumers)

If you are a consumer, you can cancel a new paid plan within 14 days of buying it without giving a reason.

Because plans are a digital service that starts straight away, when you buy you ask us to start immediately. If you cancel within the 14 days, we will refund what you paid minus a proportionate amount for the days you already had the plan. To cancel, email hello@iso400.co.uk or use the cancellation options above, and we will refund you within 14 days using the same payment method.

For a one-off custom badge, which is digital content supplied immediately, you will be asked to agree that you lose the 14-day right once the badge is applied to your profile.

Business plans and walk sponsorship are bought for business purposes, so the consumer right to cancel does not apply to them.

These rights are in addition to your other legal rights. If something you paid for does not work as described, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

10. Business accounts and sponsors

Business accounts must describe their business, perks and discount codes honestly, honour the perks they offer, and follow advertising rules (CAP Code). ISO400 is not part of any deal between a business and a user.

11. Changes and availability

We are a small, growing service. Features may change, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. We will tell you about important changes to these terms in advance; if you do not agree, you can delete your account, and if you have a paid plan you can cancel and get a refund for any unused paid period.

12. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we close a paid account without a good reason, we will refund any unused paid period.

13. Our liability

We provide ISO400 with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for content posted by users, for what happens at places shown on the map or at photowalks, or for losses we could not reasonably foresee. If you use ISO400 for business, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

14. Complaints and law

Please contact us first at hello@iso400.co.uk; we will try to sort things out quickly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
